Notre Dame Press promotes Dr. Emily King to Editor-in-Chief
The University of Notre Dame Press is thrilled to announce the promotion of Dr. Emily King to Editor-in-Chief. King has been with UND Press as Senior Acquisitions Editor since 2022. In her new position, King will oversee the Press’s acquisitions department, providing shape and strategic direction for the publishing list as a whole. She will function as a key member of the press’s leadership team, while also maintaining her acquisitions charge for strong titles in theology, philosophy, and religion.
In her four years at UNDP, King has played a crucial role in the development and expansion of the press’s list of publications, acquiring award-winning titles including The Dignity of Dependence: A Feminist Manifesto by Leah Libreso Sargeant and A Theology of Health: Wholeness and Human Flourishing by Tyler J. VanderWeele.
Notre Dame Press Director, Stephen Wrinn, shares his enthusiasm about King’s promotion: “I couldn’t possibly be more excited to have Emily in this vital leadership role which will shape the future direction of Notre Dame Press. In her four years at the Press, she has displayed outstanding editorial vision, savvy publishing instincts, and an exceptional work ethic. Her contributions as Editor-in-Chief promise to be profound.”
